Yolo American Legion Post 77 is part of a nationwide tradition of veterans serving veterans and their communities. Here in Woodland, the Post offers a local connection to that shared purpose.

Service in Woodland
Post 77 brings neighbors together to remember, celebrate, and recognize the people who serve our community.
Join the community for annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies. Post volunteers also place flags at veterans’ graves and along Main Street for holidays.
Post 77 takes part in Woodland’s Fourth of July fireworks and Christmas Day parade, helping local traditions bring neighbors together.
The Post honors the service of local law enforcement and fire personnel through community awards.
Investing in the next generation
Post 77 supports young people through sports, civic leadership, scouting, and educational recognition.
Post 77 supports a local team at Clark Field, including uniforms and travel.
Students have an opportunity to learn about citizenship, leadership, and public service.
The Post supports Woodland’s Scout Troop 68 and the values of service and community.
Scholarships for high school seniors and awards recognizing middle school students encourage learning and achievement.
American Legion Auxiliary · Unit 77
The Auxiliary supports veterans, service members and their families, while investing in local youth and neighbors.
Its work includes holiday support for veterans and families, donations to Sacramento Stand Down, scholarships and Boys & Girls State, school supplies, and support for Head Start.

Post 77 has two meeting rooms, a kitchen, and a stocked bar. The front meeting room seats up to 72 for dinner. The smaller back room works well for smaller tables and groups.
